PMMA (Acrylic)

Acrylic is an amorphous, hygroscopic, clear thermoplastic resin commonly used in injection molding and extrusion. It has excellent optical clarity, high mechanical strength and rigidity and low impact strength. This versatile material has low moisture absorption, good UV and weather resistance and easy fabrication, and can also be colored and polished. Polymethyl Methacrylate (PMMA), is often used in sheet form as a lightweight or shatter-resistant alternative to glass.
