EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)

Material description

EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) rubber is a type of synthetic rubber. It is exceptionally durable and flexible and therefore has a broad range of applications, including in vehicles (window, door seals and cooling system hoses), cold-rooms, non-slip floor coatings amongst others..

    • gasoline hoses
    • O-rings
    • gaskets
    • V-belts
    • many other automotive rubber parts.
    • excellent resistance to atmospheric aging meaning it is heat, ozone and weather resistant
    •  good resistance to most water-based chemicals.
    • resistance to abrasives and tearing.
    • stable, saturated polymer backbone structure.
    • good electrical resistivity.
    • resistant to polar solvents like water, acids, alkalies, phosphate esters.
    • It has excellent flexibility at high and low temperatures
    • injection moulding
